Both those fighting for and against the Syrian government are terrorizing the countrys civilian population in defiance of a recent Security Council resolution.
But while atrocities are increasing, the international community, apart from providing humanitarian aid, has done little but bear witness to the plight of those caught in the maelstrom, according to Paulo S. Pinheiro, the panels chairman.
The UN should definitely step is as soon as possible. This is an urgent matter. UN intervention is the only way to prevent even more civilian causalities. I believe that they should only resort to using force if the civilians or government refuse to cooperate. If they experience retaliation they should use force to defend themselves, but only if absolutely necessary.
The UN should get involved for the well being of the citizens. They need to protect the lives of the innocent. The UN should use force if necessary as longs as they maintain the well being of other civilians.
The U.N. should step in for the citizens because that is where they live and many are stuck because they dont have a place to go and it would be the right thing for the UN to get involved
I think the UN should intervene and if it doesn't the US should we can't have another situation like we did in Bosnia in the 90's. We intervened late then lets not make the same mistake today. This world makes me sick it seems too often that there is no right answers just wrong solutions...
I agree that it is time for the UN to intervene since the innocent lives of civilians were being sacrificed. UN should use force to protect and aid civilians from both the Syria government and the rebels.
