Trail Mix: Both Sides in Syria Are Targeting Civilians, U.N. Report Says

Both those fighting for and against the Syrian government are terrorizing the countrys civilian population in defiance of a recent Security Council resolution.

But while atrocities are increasing, the international community, apart from providing humanitarian aid, has done little but bear witness to the plight of those caught in the maelstrom, according to Paulo S. Pinheiro, the panels chairman.

If civilians are now being killed in the conflict, do you think it is time for the UN to step in?

If the UN steps in, should they use force, or what?

I think the UN should step in and use enough force to get justice done and their point across.

The U.N. really should get involved in this situation because if it is the death of civilians.

I think that the United Nations should intervene because civilians are being murdered. I think they should use force if they face retaliation.

I believe the UN should get involved and use force because of the death of their own civilians.

The UN should definitely step is as soon as possible. This is an urgent matter. UN intervention is the only way to prevent even more civilian causalities. I believe that they should only resort to using force if the civilians or government refuse to cooperate. If they experience retaliation they should use force to defend themselves, but only if absolutely necessary.

I think that the U.N should step in at this point because its going against human rights and the government knows it.

I think the U.N. should step in in and use the necessary force needed to restore peace in Syria.

The UN should get involved for the well being of the citizens. They need to protect the lives of the innocent. The UN should use force if necessary as longs as they maintain the well being of other civilians.

The U.N. should step in for the citizens because that is where they live and many are stuck because they dont have a place to go and it would be the right thing for the UN to get involved

I think the UN should intervene and if it doesn't the US should we can't have another situation like we did in Bosnia in the 90's. We intervened late then lets not make the same mistake today. This world makes me sick it seems too often that there is no right answers just wrong solutions...

I think that all is fair in war. But the UN should have done somthing earlier instead of letting it escalate this long.

I agree that it is time for the UN to intervene since the innocent lives of civilians were being sacrificed. UN should use force to protect and aid civilians from both the Syria government and the rebels.

I definitely think that the UN should step in for the safety of the people. If force is absolutely necessary I think that the UN should use force.

The UN must get involved now, because if not now when? There have already been civilian deaths and it is the appropriate time.
