Politics/Leadership Opportunity - No Boys Allowed! (but you girls should check this out!)


I got an email from a former student this past weekend promoting this event.  It seems like it could be a very cool day and I would definitely encourage any of you to attend!! If you're iffy about driving to USC, you can take the train from Fullerton to Union Station for about $11 round trip and there's a free shuttle that runs from the train station to campus and back every half hour.   I have the scholarship information, also -let me know if you'd like it! :)

Young Women's Political & Civic Leadership Program

An Opportunity for High School Leaders to Meet the Politicos and Elected Officials of California 

Saturday, April 26, 8:45AM - 3:30PM

The 2014 Young Women's Political and Civic Leadership Program is designed for high school girls from California who have leadership potential and an interest in politics.

Participants will have the opportunity to hear young politicos, elected officials and community leaders speak about the importance of having more women leading in politics. The workshop will also emphasize hands-on training and will cover topics such as: why we need more young women in political office, crafting your personal brand, networking, and how to get involved now.

Meals will be provided.
