North Korea conducts live-fire exercises amid escalating tensions - Group 6

Late last week, South Korean officials reported that North Korea had completed the steps needed to conduct a nuclear test, including the sealing of a tunnel at the "Punggye-ri" site in northeastern North Korea, which analysts say is the final preparation for testing a device. The North Korean analyst website 38 North, part of the U.S.-Korea Institute at Johns Hopkins University, says other activity consistent with final preparations for a test had been observed on satellite imagery.

Do you think that the U.S. should keep better tabs on these test, or if they are doing so, keep the General public more informed?

The U.S should keep tabs on these tests just to make sure that North Korea is not up any shady business. They should keep the public informed, too some extent.

The U.S. should keep tabs on the tests, but not inform the public unless they feel it is a threat to the general public

I fell like the U.S wasnt even informed or knew this was going to happen. Unless we know things we cant keep tabs on people because they can say " oh we are launching nukes tomorrow and then nothing happens and everyone would get in a big scare over nothing.

The US should monitor the N. Koreans to prevent any suspicion on starting a war with us or any neighboring countries.

The US government should keep better tabs on the rising crisis in North Korea and should keep its public well informed but only to a certain extent to much information people may panic and that just create chaos.

I think the U.S. should keep a close eye on North Korea because Kim Jong Un is crazy and could lunch nuclear missiles without warning. I also do think that they should keep the public informed on whats going on.

They U.S. should keep very strong tags on the situation and share some details about the situation, but not all. Too much information can freak out citizens when it may not be as big of a deal as they think.

The US should monitor these tests, but shouldn't make any rash decisions that could have negative repercussions. This is a country that definitely needs to be babysat. The public doesn't need to be informed unless there is an immediate threat to our nation's safety.

We should definitely be keeping track on North Korean activity because they are a threat and the government should inform us only of the things that are necessary.

The U.S. should keep tabs on the test and I think they should not tell the public because people can panic and cause a ruckus.
