THIS YOU BELIEVE - A FINAL EXAM ASSIGNMENT!!!!

We've talked a lot this semester about ideas and opinions.  Hopefully you, as a thinking evaluating analyzing Smarty McSmartypants, are starting to develop a core philosophy/world view that is the basis for all of said opinions.  As a final topping/culimnation of the semester, please participate in an international project devoted to exploration of those core views:

* Submit your This I Believe as a reply to this thread so that your classmates can read it BY THE END OF THE PERIOD TOAY

* Consider also submitting it to the actual This I Believe project (directions for how to do so can be readily found at www.thisibelieve.org along with lots of samples!)

DIRECTIONS:

This I Believe is an international project engaging people in writing and sharing essays describing the core values that guide their daily lives. Over 70,000 of these essays have been collected by the This I Believe project (and are available online at the above website if you want to look at some samples!), and yours will be the newest 25!

The task is simple: Write an essay explaining to me exactly who you think you are (a princess, a jock, a basket case, a brain, a criminal...).  And by essay,  I mean essay, not a single word repeated hundreds of times :) (RIP John Hughes)!

This I Believe Essay-Writing Guidelines:

We invite you to contribute to this project by writing and submitting your own statement of personal belief. We understand how challenging this isit requires such intimacy that no one else can do it for you. To guide you through this process, we offer these suggestions:

Tell a story: Be specific. Take your belief out of the ether and ground it in the events of your life. Consider moments when belief was formed or tested or changed. Think of your own experience, work, and family, and tell of the things you know that no one else does. Your story need not be heart-warming or gut-wrenchingit can even be funnybut it should be real. Make sure your story ties to the essence of your daily life philosophy and the shaping of your beliefs.

Be brief: Your statement should be between 350 and 500 words (you can use the "Word Count" feature in the Tools menu of Microsoft Word to check). Thats about three minutes when read aloud at your natural pace.

Name your belief: If you cant name it in a sentence or two, your essay might not be about belief. Also, rather than writing a list, consider focusing on one core belief, because three minutes is a very short time.

Be positive: Please avoid preaching or editorializing. Tell us what you do believe, not what you dont believe. Avoid speaking in the editorial we. Make your essay about you; speak in the first person.

Be personal: Write in words and phrases that are comfortable for you to speak. We recommend you read your essay aloud to yourself several times, and each time edit it and simplify it until you find the words, tone, and story that truly echo your belief and the way you speak.

For this project, we are also guided by the original This I Believe series and the producers invitation to those who wrote essays in the 1950s. Their advice holds up well and we are abiding by it. Please consider it carefully in writing your piece.

In introducing the original series, host Edward R. Murrow said, Never has the need for personal philosophies of this kind been so urgent. We would argue that the need is as great now as it was 50 years ago. We are eager for your contribution.

The Original Invitation from This I Believe:

This invites you to make a very great contribution: nothing less than a statement of your personal beliefs, of the values which rule your thought and action. Your essay should be about three minutes in length when read loud, written in a style as you yourself speak, and total no more than 500 words.

We know this is a tough job. What we want is so intimate that no one can write it for you. You must write it yourself, in the language most natural to you. We ask you to write in your own words and then record in your own voice. You may even find that it takes a request like this for you to reveal some of your own beliefs to yourself. If you set them down they may become of untold meaning to others.

We would like you to tell not only what you believe, but how you reached your beliefs, and if they have grown, what made them grow. This necessarily must be highly personal. That is what we anticipate and want.

It may help you in formulating your credo if we tell you also what we do not want. We do not want a sermon, religious or lay; we do not want editorializing or sectarianism or finger-pointing. We do not even want your views on the American way of life, or democracy or free enterprise. These are important but for another occasion. We want to know what you live by. And we want it in terms of I, not the editorial We.

Although this program is designed to express beliefs, it is not a religious program and is not concerned with any religious form whatever. Most of our guests express belief in a Supreme Being, and set forth the importance to them of that belief. However, that is your decision, since it is your belief which we solicit.

But we do ask you to confine yourself to affirmatives: This means refraining from saying what you do not believe. Your beliefs may well have grown in clarity to you by a process of elimination and rejection, but for our part, we must avoid negative statements lest we become a medium for the criticism of beliefs, which is the very opposite of our purpose.

We are sure the statement we ask from you can have wide and lasting influence. Never has the need for personal philosophies of this kind been so urgent. Your belief, simply and sincerely spoken, is sure to stimulate and help those who hear it. We are confident it will enrich them. May we have your contribution?

My Favorite TIB that I've heard:

Sarah Adams

Be Cool to the Pizza Dude

by Sarah Adams

May 16, 2005

(Sarah Adams has held many jobs in her life, including telemarketer, factory worker, hotel clerk and flower shop cashier, but has never delivered pizzas. Raised in Wisconsin, Adams is now an English professor at Olympic Community College in Washington.)

If I have one operating philosophy about life it is this: "Be cool to the pizza delivery dude; it's good luck." Four principles guide the pizza dude philosophy.

Principle 1: Coolness to the pizza delivery dude is a practice in humility and forgiveness. I let him cut me off in traffic, let him safely hit the exit ramp from the left lane, let him forget to use his blinker without extending any of my digits out the window or towards my horn because there should be one moment in my harried life when a car may encroach or cut off or pass and I let it go. Sometimes when I have become so certain of my ownership of my lane, daring anyone to challenge me, the pizza dude speeds by me in his rusted Chevette. His pizza light atop his car glowing like a beacon reminds me to check myself as I flow through the world. After all, the dude is delivering pizza to young and old, families and singletons, gays and straights, blacks, whites and browns, rich and poor, vegetarians and meat lovers alike. As he journeys, I give safe passage, practice restraint, show courtesy, and contain my anger.

Principle 2: Coolness to the pizza delivery dude is a practice in empathy. Let's face it: We've all taken jobs just to have a job because some money is better than none. I've held an assortment of these jobs and was grateful for the paycheck that meant I didn't have to share my Cheerios with my cats. In the big pizza wheel of life, sometimes you're the hot bubbly cheese and sometimes you're the burnt crust. It's good to remember the fickle spinning of that wheel.

Principle 3: Coolness to the pizza delivery dude is a practice in honor and it reminds me to honor honest work. Let me tell you something about these dudes: They never took over a company and, as CEO, artificially inflated the value of the stock and cashed out their own shares, bringing the company to the brink of bankruptcy, resulting in 20,000 people losing their jobs while the CEO builds a home the size of a luxury hotel. Rather, the dudes sleep the sleep of the just.

Principle 4: Coolness to the pizza delivery dude is a practice in equality. My measurement as a human being, my worth, is the pride I take in performing my job -- any job -- and the respect with which I treat others. I am the equal of the world not because of the car I drive, the size of the TV I own, the weight I can bench press, or the calculus equations I can solve. I am the equal to all I meet because of the kindness in my heart. And it all starts here -- with the pizza delivery dude.

Tip him well, friends and brethren, for that which you bestow freely and willingly will bring you all the happy luck that a grateful universe knows how to return.

What I believe is that Im the hard worker when it comes to athletics. I believe this because I consider sports to be one of the biggest factors of my life. I do enjoy other activities and do put time and effort into other activities, but athletics is where I excel and where I put more effort in. There is a saying that if you choose a job you like you will never work a day in your life. I believe this to be true. I want to be the best there is at whatever sport I am doing. I will and have gone over and above what I need to be the best. If a coach gives me the opportunity to do double practices I will take it. For the fact that I want to excel and hopefully give me the chance to stand out to others and show that not only talent lets you succeed but also hard work. Putting in those extra hours will always over come natural talent. This is what I believe. My beliefs will never change. I stand strong in what I believe. When I first started wrestling I was at the lowest part of the totem pole. There where kids that where wrestling for about 3 or 4 years more than me. I wanted to get to the top so I put in the hours and hard work everyday until our season started I went to double practices. I went with the freshmen and all the knew people from 2 to 4 pm then I went with the varsity team from 6 to 8 pm everyday. I wanted to be the best. There where kids that started off for the first time and where just naturally talented but didnt want to put in the work. That was not me. My parents always taught me to put in the work because at the end it will pay off. It did I was the starting varsity 120lb my first year of wrestling. Just because the coach saw how fast I was improving and the fact that I was determined to work hard and put in all the hours to be one of the best. Thats why I believe that hard work over talent will always pay off no matter what. This is my belief!

Although people think I seem secular, what I believe is simple and direct and I have strong faith in what I believe. My life is encompassed by this belief and not only is my lifestyle encompassed by it, but so are many of my actions and quirky decisions. My family might not always support my beliefs and many of my friends do not as well. In my life, I have been persecuted for this belief and often told it was full of crap and should not be listened to. My belief is incredibly controversial and started many wars in the world and history of man. My belief is loved and hated but nevertheless respected. My belief was also the foundation for the country of America and perhaps, my belief is the ultimate ultimatum and something which everyone has been influenced by. Enough jibberish, here is my belief.

I believe in God, the father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Holy Catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

What I strongly believe in life is that handwork and dedication can get you very far in life. I have a goal in life and I believe i can achieve it if i truly put the best of my skills towards that goal and believe in myself. I have already started my first steps towards achieving that goal by attending a good college at Cal State Fullerton. I also strongly believe in helping one another and loving each other. War and fighting gets you nowhere except digs you in a deeper hole of regret and despair. I really try everyday to not have any enemies in my life and be friendly to everyone. In doing this i make my world and daily life a much more enjoyable place to exist in. When you are friendly and caring for other they too can help you to reach your own goals and in return you can help them. Friendship and teamwork is very important to me in my life. Another thing i believe in is never to quit even when things seem hard. As a kid i played baseball for about 6 years and i quit when i went into middle school and i really regret that decision. I had such a good time playing it and i really wish i continued. Just like life there are always gonna be ups and downs, sometimes more downs, and i believe it is important to persevere through the challenges in life which will in turn make you a better person over all. One last thing i believe in is giving to others who are less fortunate. I believe that we as humans should always be helping each other out, especially those in need. Not everyone is set up for success in life and its important  that for those who succeed in life should not be selfish and do things like donate to charity or volunteer for different things. When i volunteered at the senior center or at homeless shelter i always had fun and enjoyed helping others. I also was able to meet many new people and hear their stories. In doing these services i felt that it made me grow into a better person and made me realize how fortunate i am to have grown up in a nice neighborhood and city with no money problems. These things are what i believe in and i hope to carry these ideals throughout my life and let them help me succeed in life.

This I believe, it starts with you. This I believe, if you want to see change then be that change. This I believe that if you want perfection make sure that you hold that standard before you judge others. This I believe that no matter how bad you may be off there is someone that has half of what you do and yet there are still people that still have less. This I believe that if you want to be more than all you need is yourself. This I believe that no matter how bad things are there is always a way out, especially if you live in a place like we do. This I believe that if you need help to find that way out seek it out because no one is going to help if they dont know. This I believe that alone you can be strong but together there is nothing that can stand against. This I believe that love is for the strong and the weak refuse to acknowledge that as truth. This I believe that you should act on actions toward you not on those done to other people. This I believe that you should form your own opinions and not rely on others to make up your own mind. This I believe that in our society those that are complacent contribute nothing and are forgotten. This I believe that those that do what is needed, accomplish even the smallest of tasks, and act as they should will go down as those that accomplished the most any man or women could hope to accomplish relevancy. This I believe that this class has been a great experience, I hope that the number of people that take this class only grows, and I hope that you, Mrs. Cav, have a great summer and a wonderful life.

Finally and above all else; This I believe that you should live like you want to be remembered, laugh like its the last time, and love those around you because you never know what they are going through.

These I believe!

A Life isn't Lived Unless it Outlives You

One ideal that I've tried (and unfortunately, often unsuccessfully)to live my life based upon is the concept that a life is not lived unless it outlives you. The statement essentially means that a life is only fulfilled if remnants of it exist long after you die. Leaving behind something could have different meanings for different people, but for me it means leaving a lasting impression on other people in the world, and making making their life a better one to live. I've never been too religious, and I don't believe in an afterlife, so to me, not leaving behind anything substantial in this world would basically render my life useless. Helping other people is such a profound idea to me, because at the end of the day we are organisms, and it is in our human nature to pursue what is best for ourselves. That is why I believe that things like volunteering and anonymous philanthropy are so great. I am taking steps to adhere to this ideal of mine, including volunteering at my mother's hospital this summer. While I am doing it in part to fulfill my volunteer hours in order to graduate, I can honestly say that the principal reason for me volunteering is that I genuinely enjoy helping people. There is nothing better than helping another person, because humans are naturally selfish. By endeavoring to assist others, people can transcend the inhibitions of human nature, and I believe that that is extremely profound. However, there are other ways to assist people as well. For example, individuals may pursue careers that have lasting effects on others. Teachers like Mrs. Cavalluzzi have had an impact on the thousands of students that she's had over the years. Also, Mr. Cavalluzzi who is a district attorney has also made a great impact on others because he has proven that many individuals are not guilty in court, and they would have otherwise spent a portion or even their entire lives behind bars if he hadn't done that. I aspire to pursue a career in law in the future as well, because while I love subjects like Biology, I believe that there is something truly powerful about saving someone through logical reasoning and analysis rather than through physical means. So in conclusion, a life is not lived unless it outlives you. This I believe.

i believe i am a hard worker when it comes to something i truly care about, i believe this because ive always tried hard with challenging things. i also believe that you can do anything in life as long as you truly put your mind to it aand persue your dreams, i believe in being unique, such as following your own trends which can include style, and definetly personality, basically i believe in just being yourself and dont try and be something you know you arent. i believe in taking care of the people you trust and keep them close to you. you should always follow your heart and do what you believe is right even if it comes with consequences. I believe that most wars are pointless and are just to protect an investment. I believe that no matter how low you are in life you always have opportunities to make it out and as long as you are persistent you can eventually rise to the top. I believe in a supreme being that created the universe and created us. And finally, I DEFINETLY believe in Karma.

This I believe, do not and I repeat do not be rude to the people at the cash register.
I believe you should always have the utmost respect and consideration for anyone taking time out of their day to help you out. i would be no one without the help of the workers.
They probably dont want to be there anymore than you want to be waiting in the long line around the holiday season or on any other day.
You dont know whether that lady at the register who didnt smile at you is on her second shift of the day trying to make money to feed her starving kids or if shes having a bad day. Dont be rude to the people at the cash register. That man rushing at the register trying to help you return a shirt that makes you look too bulky is running late to his daughters dance recital or if its his 25th anniversary with his wife.
Dont yell at them because prices went up or because your coupons expired. Odds are that are helping you arent the ones responsible for that at all; the rules are enforced on them as much as their enforced on you.
I believe you dont know everyones story therefore you should treat everyone with the equal respect you want. You get what you give so you should always have respect for people who are doing their best to give time out of their day to help you.
Working at Chuck E Cheese I often deal with the sassiest over protective parents. At kid check I am doing the best I can to make sure your sugar hyped child doesnt run away from you and try to leave the building but realize Im not there to take on your role. There are rules and regulations in every job therefore if a worker tells you it isnt in their power to do something, dont be rude to them. Its not their fault.
Check the expiration days on your coupons before you yell at the person at the register, its not their fault that you dont want to pay full price and didnt pay attention to it earlier. Dont blame them for your irresponsibilitys.
Working at JC Penney I often dealt with people who would rather screw you over and get you in trouble then pay full price for an item or accept the fact theyre wrong.
I believe that no person deserves to be disrespected in a place where they are trying to succeed and make money to get by.
If you arent willing to do the job yourself, dont be rude to the person doing the job for you.

I chose to believe that my life is an incredible gift. I am truly blessed to be living my life the way I am. I am graduating high school today and I am very excited to be in the future. Although I still wish I was young. Its always great to notice the little things in life and cherish what you have. If you can find nothing to be grateful for, the fault only lies with you. There are many things to be grateful in life. One thing to be grateful is having enough food to eat. Sometimes these things are not even noticeable, but these things are something to be thankful for. Over time, little by little, your life situation will shift. Life goes on quick, but its always great to embrace it. One instance in my life that Ive been thankful for is me having heart surgery. When I was born, I had a hole in my heart and I needed surgery to repair it. I had when I was in 4th grade and it was one of the scariest things ever. I still have the scar on my chest to show that I had surgery. Without doctors and such, I would have never known about this. Before long, youll wake up thinking, Even if I could, I wouldnt change a thing. Everything will turn out all alright. One thing also to believe is its always nice to ask questions, and its always okay to say no. If youre not getting your needs met, you probably struggle with asking for what you want. Thats okay. Were often taught growing up that we cant always get what we want. Another thing to be grateful is breathing itself. Everyone should be thankful that your healthy and have roofs under their heads. Compared to some people that are living on the streets and people are complaining about having the wrong cereal or something. It is just ridiculous. Even in the most difficult challenges and heart-wrenching tragedies, love is available when we choose to open our hearts. Whether were experiencing joy or loss, opening our hearts allows the fullness of love and healing to come through. Life is a precious thing and it should be cherished.

I believe that we should all be tolerant with people. In today's society every individual has their own set of beliefs but I feel that the world has become more intolerant towards each other. which is why i have a strong belief that we all must become tolerant with each others beliefs. We don't have to like them or believe them our selves but we must respect that someone else may believe in something that you don't. Currently our world has shown hatred towards each other mostly because of beliefs many citizens form each country have become ignorant and I think Americans specifically have become more intolerant than anyone else. I believe we as Americans have created a mentality of "if your not with us your against us". I believe this mentality is the reason why recently there been so many problems between countries. If we change our mentality and become more patient with each other we will all become more understanding and tolerant with each other and there will be less conflict in the world. I think our generation and the generation behind us are not as impatient with each other than most people today. In order to achieve some level of world peace we must listen to each others ideas and opinions. If we become more intolerant not only will more violence erupt the world would stop making inventions and ,oving forward because we would be to ignorant to listen to anyone else's ideas.

I believe that my strong motivation is what will drive me to success in life. I also believe that Gods plan for me is bigger then anything I could ever possibly dream for myself. I am an actress, singer, and most of all I like to make a difference in peoples lives. Whether that is inspiring someone through a performance, charity work, or just simply being there for someone when they might just need a good friend in their lives. I am proud to say that I am an idealist. I believe that in life you have to do whatever it takes to make your dream or end game happen. Whether that is facing countless disappointments and rejections, every one is jut preparing you for success. There are millions of people in the world, who work hard everyday for success, but I believe the outliers, or the people who will go down in history are the ones who believe that they can change the world and shoot for the absolute highest goals possible. To be successful, it is essential to have a great group of friends, people who have more faith in you then you sometimes do yourself. My friends are everything to me as I have had the same group of people in my life since elementary school. The people you spend you time with rub off on you and I have become the people I surround myself with. Without them, I would not be the person I am today and I would have not succeeded in different aspects of my school life as I have this year. I pride myself on growing as a person every school year, and I feel like I have succeeded in that this year. I believe that if everyone was just created their own personal version of themselves and are proud of who they are the world would be a better and more exciting place. I believe anything is possible if I put my heart into it and I encourage other people to believe in themselves too! Inspire someone! This is my belief!

I believe that i am a kid. Nothing more nothing less. I like to hangout have fun and push the limits. I love to ride my bike I love going to the beach and I love not knowing what the future holds in store for me. I know what I like to do but I dont know what I want to do. I'm still not sure who I am or why I am here but I do believe that there is a purpose and one day I will fulfill it. I believe in yesterday. I believe in love and I believe that it is stronger than anyone can explain. I believe that this world is dark ugly and dirty. I also believe that it is beautiful wondrous and full of light and life. This world I BELIEVE is a balance of opposites. I believe that positive is negative and that right can be wrong as well as wrong can be right. Nothing in this world is certain and we never REALLY know what we are going to do tomorrow but we can reflect and look at what we did yesterday. I believe that I am a kid. We all are. We are all waiting to grow into our next stage in our existence... to mature. I believe that we are all children of this world and the only way we can grow into enlightened mature beings is by respecting and protecting our mother(EARTH). I'm graduating high school and it scares the S**T out of me. Who am I? what am I going to accomplish? what am I going to create? What am I going to leave behind? The answer is I DON'T KNOW but I believe that it will be something great. I BELIEVE IM JUST A KID. Today is the last day of my entire high school career and you know what??? It doesn't feel any different than any other day. Should it? Probably but it doesn't, not to me. All I am learning from my last day of high school is that Its Not Over Till Its Over and I believe that my life is far from over it is just beginning. Im Just A Kid.

You are free and that is why you are lost. -Franz Kafka

What I believe:
I believe that I am responsible, passionate, disciplined, and hard working. I love music and being active. I mainly play the trumpet, but i like to play piano and drums as well. I am trying to learn how to play guitar to. I see myself as very active as well. I really really like playing ping pong and tennis!! Those are two groovy sports! Fencing is pretty groovy to, I did that for around 2 years. One thing that I really love to do is help others. I feel like that is my purpose in life which is why I want to become a Firefighter-Paramedic. I would rather take everyones pain and hold it so they would not feel it. I do not like thinking about me, always others. I have an extreme amount of energy at times and could seem a little crazy, but I do this so I can spread pride, energy, enthusiasm, and just create an overall positive enviornment around me. I put 100% of my effort and work as hard as I can in everything I do. I was born on August, 1st 1996 in Fountain Valley hospital. I was adopted right after I was born because my birthparents were to young to care for me a weren't prepared to have a kid. I am full Chinese. I was four pounds when I was born and about the length of a water bottle and a half. I was born 8 weeks early and was really underweight and they thought I was not going to make it. They kept me in a incubatoe for a couple weeks to see how i did and I was perfectly healthy. After those few weeks I got to go home. I went to Goslden Elementary school through fourth grade then moved to New York for a year for fifth grade. It was awesome there and was an amazing experience. However, after a year, my parents decided to move back here and I finished sixth grade at Golden. Then I went to Tuffree Middle School and now soon graduating El Dorado High School. I was involved with UNICEF Club, BeU4You Club, Linkcrew, the tennis team, band, and alot of school activities at El Dorado. I have a tattoo of a Chinese caligraphy symbol with a brush stroke circle around it on my right shoulder. The symbol means power/strength. Tanner Martinez is an awesome TACO!! Joseph Vargas is my neighbor and I have known him since 3rd grade. I plan to attend Mt. SAC in the fall and go through paramedic school and the fire academy to eventually work as a firefighter paramedic. I have had an awesome experience at ELDORADO! I will miss it! Remember to be crazy and show your pride with a smile! Lighten the world with your greatness you awesome Taco!!

I believe that success does not come from your GPA or grades but how hard you are willing to try. I base this off personal experience but also life in general and what other people have told me. Dont get me wrong I know grades are a factor of success but that isnt all thats needed. I dont understand why some people freak out over some letter identifying how much they cared about a class. GRADES DO NOT MEASURE INTELLIGENCE! Our intelligence is measured by how much we know in life and if we know how to apply ourselves and do things. Some of the most successful people I know dropped out of high school and started doing work and learning new things for themselves. A person could have amazing grades and when they get into the real world after high school they have no idea what they want to do or where they want to go. This is why people need street smarts as well as book smarts. People need to understand this, I work already which has taught me many things event I get bad grades. I will be ready for the real world and what it tosses at me and that is why I believe this.

Dont be mean to the Cathy Jean girls. This I believe. No one should be rude to the Cathy Jeans girls. No it is not our fault that we no longer have your size. No, it is not our fault that the shoe you bought was defective. No it is not our fault that the majority of our shoes do not come in half sizes. No it is not our fault that the shoe you bought gave you a blister. No, random customer, it is not my fault.

I believe that you are insane when you get angry at me for letting you know that I do not have the shoe wanted to see in your size. You are insane when you come into the store and yell at all of the Cathy Jean workers when we deny your request to return a shoe that was stamped final sale in blocked red letters on the very receipt you hold in your trembling, angry hand. You are insane when you demand to speak to the manager when you have been for the past five minutes, insulting her position. You, random customer, are insane.

I believe you dont understand how frustrated we get with you, random insane customer. We walk into the back and mutter under our breath. We walk into the back stock room and angrily grab the shoe you asked for. We walk into the back and look at the other Cathy Jean workers with fury in their eyes. We stand in the back and nod with understanding when the other Cathy Jean workers do the same. And when you leave, random insane customer, after being so rude, we walk into the back to put away the 20 pairs of shoes you asked us to take out and we do the ughhhhhh of frustration and tell the fellow Cathy Jean girls of your stupidity and craziness. Another Cathy Jean girl, not too long after that, will do the same. You, random insane customer, are unappreciative.

I believe, random, insane and unappreciative customer, that at the end of the work day, we dont care. No, we will not forget your bad attitude and disrespectful, undermining tone, however we do not care. Yes, you were rude and we dont want to see you again, but we still made the sale, therefore we do not care. And even if we did not make the sale, the chances of you coming back just to be rude are very slim, so we do not care. Yes, you got a couple of minutes of anger out of us, but youre gone and there are plenty of other nice and appreciative customers to help out, so, at the end of the day, we do not care.

This I believe: Do not be mean to the Cathy Jean girls. You insane and unappreciative customers come randomly, although often, and, on behalf of all the Cathy Jean girls, we firmly declare that we do not care.

Eat Rainbows, Poop Butterflies

Sometimes in life, bad things happen to good people. Also in life, good things happen to good people. I believe in karma, however not in the sense of the textbook definition. I am not Buddhist or Hindu, but I do believe that your actions today will affect you tomorrow. If you put good things out into the universe good things will come back to you. Even though there are a lot of unfortunate things in life, there are also a lot of good things. A simple hello can make a huge difference in someones day, and in turn, maybe someone will do the same for you when youre having a bad day. If youre known as a kind and caring person, and you take the extra mile to support someone thats in need (emotionally, financially, or physically), then the more likely it is that other people will want to be around you. The more people want to be around you, the more likely it is that someone in that group will be a kind and caring person like you, and will put a smile on your face and offer their love and kindness when you are in need.

Being a good person will never come back to haunt you. In some cases, people may take advantage of your kindness. People may not appreciate what you have to offer, but those are the people you dont need in your life. Continue being your kind and beautiful self, and you will never regret it. There wont come a time when you will say, Wow. I wish I wasnt so nice to that girl. Wow, I wish I didnt stop to help her pick up her books. I believe in karma in the sense that good duties will be repaid to you. Maybe in the afterlife, if that is how you choose to view it, but also in this very life that we live right now. Being a good person will attract other good people. And positive, encouraging, and supportive people will flock to you. And those people are the kind of people that you deserve to have around you.

I chose this title (credits to Kyndall) because you reap what you sow. If you put something out, like a rainbow, you will get beautiful butterflies. The same thing applies to life, where if you put good things into the universwe, good things will come of it :)

This I believe:

Do not live in the past. Memories may be positive attributes to ones life; however, acceptance comes hand in hand with these memories, not denial. Sometimes, bad things happen to good people, and that is life. Furthermore, sometimes people unconsciously hold on to things without even knowing it.

For example, I was a cheerleader my whole life and planned to get a scholarship by my senior year. However, medical complications demolished this dream 2 years ago and I was left alone with nothing to do. After being involved in something for so long, I had nothing to do all day. Since that day that the doctor told me I could not do any physical activity, I did not completely realize I was no longer defined as a cheerleader. This was extremely strange and foreign, as this was all I knew. I unconsciously would still include myself as we or our when discussing the sport. As time went on, I found other things to involve myself in to keep myself busy. I have always had a passion for singing and acting and have been doing it since I was little, but never able to focus much because of sports. Seeing this as a new opportunity, I began to work hard to dial in on that dream. All along, I convinced myself that I was over the whole medical situation, however, that was far from the truth.

This is my story and it wasnt until this year that I figured it all out. I did not realize that I simply tried to mask the pain like one would shove their dirty clothes beneath their bed. I was so proud of all of my hard work that I could not let go of my past. It will always be apart of me, but I am not a cheerleader anymore. It was by the beginning of this school year that I let all of the hidden emotions free and began calling myself a singer and actress, not a cheerleader. It may seem ridiculous, but this is extremely common amongst people today. In the end, the past is behind you for a reason and it added all of the things up that made you. I would not have the discipline from gymnastics and be so hard-working in school, if it was not for sports. Much of the pros and cons of my personality is also a product of sports. It still is a very sad topic for me, however, once I was able to let it be, I have much more peace. I could no longer live in the past because it made me struggle to keep up with the present.

People should have pride in their past. But sometimes, people will be 60 and still talking about their high school years being their life. Nostalgia is one thingobsession is another. It is a plague that will eat a person up until they hit rock bottom. I encourage and promise everyone that if you live in the moment, the past cannot hurt you.

Growing up I was raised Catholic and forced to go to church and private school by my mom. As I got older I began to realize that I ultimately had the decision on my religious belief. I think that being an atheist and a democrat heavily impact my worldview. I think that everyone should have their own beliefs, however when they get extreme I think it is ridiculous. For example both political parties extremist views are very impractical in my opinion. Although I am an atheist I have no problem whatsoever with religious people. I can understand why people have faith I just personally do not. We have no proof of a higher being and the world is too messed up for me to believe in anything other than science. I think the world we live in today is very flawed and that a majority of people are selfish and ignorant. In my eyes the main purpose of life is to make it better for future generations. I personally have lost a good friend and my grandfather and I realize how important a human life is. This realization let me to want to either be a medic or a cop. My hope is that I can make a difference in peoples lives by the time I die. I cant ever see myself having a desk job because I cant stand repetition. I would rather have a low paying job that I enjoy than a high paying job that I hate. That is where me and my dad differ his view of success is making a good income to support your family where as I believe in being happy and helping others. The same is true for me with friends I have a select group of really close friends rather than many acquaintance. I think that people focus too much on how others might see them rather than doing what makes them happy. I see no reason for racism, sexism, and prejudice in general. I live my life with the mindset that if someone is nice to me I will be nice back.

I firmly believe in "going until you puke, or pass out whatever comes last". Meaning no matter where you are, what you do , how you do it, who you are with, you give it your all. I found that hard work pays off, it may not be right away, most likely way down that line everything you worked for pays off. I was told this over and over again by my personal coach and it really took awhile for it to make sense, the second it did i have adopted this Motto for myself. I stand strong by this belief and will never diverge from this. This has inspired me to go all out on the track and in the classroom. I also see it as being immersed in your surrounding, being aware of everything going on around out which is apart of giving it all where ever you are. My coach with this motto showed me how to focus on what i am doing one step at a time. Inspiring me to work hard towards my goals and never giving up no matter how hard things get, people holding me back, or even being told there is no way i can do it. Which i have had happen to me every time i go to achieve in something, i am able to fight back or just carry on. which leads to another thing i believe in.

I also believe not trying. "Do or Do not there is no try" said by Yoda reaffirms my belief in not trying. I don't see this point in just trying, why not go and do it or not do it at all. trying implicates failure, so whats the point? I do not tackle a new challenge by "trying" oi tackle it by going for the knees and bringing it to the ground, actually DOING IT! Some of the greatest mind never set out to TRY to do something but actually doing it, Thomas Edison said "I didn't fail. I just learned 2000 ways how not to make a light-bulb", which i find inspiring to me. I do not try i just continue to DO something until i finally achieve it. This is what i believe.

I believe that your relationship with your family is the most important thing and it will shape your life completely. Your family teaches you your essential beliefs and shapes your views. Your family will start your life positively or negatively. Your family has a bigger effect on your life then anything else, they know you better then anyone else and you know them more then you know anyone else. You spend more time with them then anyone else, and you spend your whole early years of life with them. Even after you leave the house, rather you had a good or bad relationship with your family really effects you. Your relationship with your family will set you on the path for your future. If you have a healthy relationship with your family, then you will have someone through anything. If you lose everyone, you will still have your family. That is why the family seems just so essential to me. If you didnt have a relationship with your family, you wouldnt have someone who would know you inside and out. You wouldnt have people who grew up with you and even raised you. When it is all said and done, what more could you want then a family who raised you and loved you and took care for you? They didnt choose you, but they took care of you anyways. You dont choose your family. They are Gods gift to you, as you are to them. ~Desmond Tutu. Rejoice with your family in the beautiful land of life! ~Albert Einstein. Ohana means family no one gets left behind, and no one is ever forgotten. ~Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois, Lilo & Stitch. The happiest moments of my life have been the few which I have passed at home in the bosom of my family. ~Thomas Jefferson. The only rock I know that stays steady, the only institution I know that works is the family. ~Lee Iacocca. Family is the most important thing you can have in life. This is what I believe and those are the reasons I believe so.

DO THE EXTRA SPRINT:

Do the extra sprint. Put in the extra work. When the world is pushing hard against you push back even harder. Go beyond your limits to find who you really are when you reach the core. Doing that extra sprint, studying that extra hour, saying that extra prayer before bed, going to the basketball game even when you're tired. Those are the moments when your life will feel meaningful and worth something. I have lived by this all high school and Ive had the best four years of my life. Doing that extra sprint means more than literally doing the extra sprint. It means putting in the extra work when you've put in everything you have. I have found myself throughout high school with this motto. Putting in the extra work when no one is looking makes it a lot easier to put in that effort when someone is looking.

I have found myself in the quietest darkest places of my life. I found out the person i want to be through the worst experiences using this life motto. Knowing that there will always be a sunny day around the corner. My strong faith has proven that to be true over and over. Life is suppose to be stressful and chaotic, because in those moments is when you find why you push back. No matter if you push back for yourself, a loved one, or God. You can always find something to keep you going and motivated. In order for you to feel confident and successful, you have to believe that through your morals and beliefs that goal is always achievable.

As graduation approaches, it gives me time to reflect on high school and all the ups and downs high school offers everyday. High school also offers stability and comfort. Thats what I will miss about High School. I know my friends, and I know where I sit at lunch and break and I know my teachers. Until you don't have that anymore, you won't realize how special that is. You realize the friendships you made mean more than having someone to stand with after class.

Do the extra sprint. Eat the cupcake. Say the extra prayer.

Everyone needs to build a skate park

Nothing has never changed my life more than building a skate park.

1. Building a skate park brings everyone together. March 23, 2014 Logan Wells passed away and due to his love for skate boarding and filming, the members of the community came together to raise money in order to build a skate park in his honor. Through the past 10 weeks everyone has come together to help organize fundraisers, and events to raise enough money to build the skate park. So many people have put so much time and energy into helping, participating, donating, and being there for each other is has truly been life changing.

2. Building a skate park helps you make new friends. While helping with fundraisers and events I have met some amazing people I would not have met otherwise. I have gained friends, and a second family. I met the Wells Family, who have become to me a second family whom I can confide in and spend everyday with. I have met many various friendly faces at the Memorial 5k run, and the Shred 4 Logan events. I became 10 x's closer with my group of friends and I met Steve VanDoren the owner of Vans shoes whom has helped and donated tremendously throughout our events.

3. Building a skate park gives you some closure. After a friend passes away its pretty hard to carry on and be strong. But when youre celebrating their life everyday through events, and eventually a skate park gives you a slight feeling of relief and like youre doing something right and for the good of the community.

4. Building a skate park leaves a legacy. Though life will never be the same I feel the legacy of Logan Wells will live on forever through the skate park. Every day people will be shredding for Logan at his very own memorial park. Its a nice feeling knowing we will accomplish something Logan wanted his entire life.

Throughout the course of my short life I have learned so much about what it means to live and really just my own beliefs about the purpose of life. In my earlier years I was the happiest person I knew, and was constantly doing anything I could to make others happy and feel appreciated. Sure I had my ups and downs just like everyone else in this world but overall life was almost as if it was a fantasy. This feeling of enlightenment and happiness continued on for 17 years of my life until part of the way into my junior year. One thing I have not mentioned yet is that I do suffer from anxiety (like a lot of people), but also a sort of manic depression, almost like a bipolar problem. I know that I may sound like a kook for saying that but it is what it is. Also something that nobody knows is that I have grown up through constant struggle and hardships throughout my life. Not everyday struggle, but real problems that make it hard to live in general. However I was never willing to give up and always pushed forward which really did structure who I am today, but those hardships are a whole other story. During my junior year I sank into a deep, deep depression that lasted for a little over a year and I constantly felt negative about anything. I had turned into a religious pessimist and figured this was just the direction my life was headed towards. This feeling really took a toll on my body, and more importantly my mind. I thought I was going crazy and this led me to get involved with the wrong kind of things. Im sure you all know what that means. I was using these things as an escape from reality and figured it was the only thing that made me happy. But I would always reminisce on my old life whenever I had time to myself and realized that I once was truly happy and realized that I needed to fight this feeling I had and become who I used to be. I knew this kind of thing does not just happen so I gave it time, and sure enough my life took a huge turn for the best. A huge part of this was meeting this incredible girl who really helped me to become myself again and has made me the happiest man in the world. I could go on and on about that but Ill spare you the time. So now my mindset has been completely changed and I have learned once again to be happy as well as optimistic. It is such an indescribable feeling thats so hard to describe however it is the best thing I could ever imagine. Optimism really is key to being truly happy and it will make your life the best it has ever been. I promise you that considering I have learned through experience. Having a positive outlook on life makes you realize why life is worth living and also give you purpose in your life, it really does. I have found that in my opinion, happiness really is the meaning to life. My life is back to the way it was if not better! However being happy yourself is not all there is to it, but sharing this feeling with others. Alright this is getting to be too long my bad but moral of the story is, no matter what goes on in your life, just always have a positive outlook and know everything will be alright. So yeah, be happy and do what makes you the happiest. Thank you.

Love conquers all
Keep love in your heart. A life without it is like a sunless garden when the flowers are dead. Oscar Wilde. Through out this course I heard a lot of bad going on in the world. People are not concern about the horrible struggles that they go through everyday. I learned that the world needs more love. We have the ability to reach out and make thousands of people happier in our life span by doing the little things. Love is what keeps this world going in the right direction. Caring and loving people can end so many problems in this world. From donating your time to help someone out in need or just smiling at a stranger and saying some kind words can leave a bigger imprint than you think. I keep small pieces of paper in my backpack and when I see someone upset at school, I give them one. Smile, youre beautiful and Youre the reason why someone is happy. Love every single person like they are unique and there is something special about them. Talking to someone and having an emotional bond with someone is a feeling that you can not get anywhere else. Every person had their own story and a reason for why they are the type of person they are today. The type of connection we have with other people is the outcome on how they treat other people and yourself. We all remember the little things that people do for us. It makes us happy and encourages you to be positive and maybe do the same thing for someone else. I believe that no one has an excuse to treat other people poorly or be negative towards life. We wont have so much of a negative world if we all love each other. Not letting the evil -horrible things that happen to you or on this world change youre big heart, is the biggest accomplishment someone can achieve. Be strong and love people who need it the most. A loving heart is the beginning of all knowledge. -Thomas Carlyle.

I believe that I am a very hard worker and I am an understanding person. I believe I am a hard worker because all my life I was involved in many activities, including Soccer which I have played all my life. Soccer taught me many things, taught me to always fight for what I love; soccer showed me pretty much the essentials of life. I think of it as a part of life, I have built many strong friendships and bonds with both my teammates and my past coaches. I have built many communication skills due to playing soccer since I was 8. Honestly, soccer is one of the things I treasure the most; it has shown me how to be a leader on and off the field. This year was supposed to be my prime year in soccer but I messed it all up, I wasn't able to meet the requirements to play on the Varsity team due to my grades. This is one of the things Ill regret the most in the future and I dont think Ill ever forget this event. Now, this is where the understanding part of me comes out. I understood the decision of not being able to play; it was my fault and no one elses. I understood the fact that I wasn't able to play so I decided to stay positive. I was one of the two players that was elected to be the team captain, I believe this is because of my love for this sport, when I play soccer I never give up. My dad would always tell me when I was younger "I know you were born to be a soccer player". I think those words just got stuck in my head, and I believe those words created motivation and desire in me to be the best I could possibly be. I owe many things to my family, both my parents have understood me all my life. I remember the first time I asked if I could sign up for a soccer team, they didn't even hesitate to say no. They said yes right away, growing up I have noticed that my parents just want me to do what I love. Not being able to play this year has taught me some important lessons. Im kinda lucky this happened because it honestly woke me up. I plan to work at my greatest capacity from now on, I don't want to mess up in the future anymore. I have learned that not working hard has consequences, and I understood that I wasn't able to play due to that. I'm blessed to have the life I have today, and I hope in the future I will be the hard working and understanding person that I'm planning to be.

I believe that the greatest of times can lead to the greatest of memories and you should make the time that you have unforgivable no matter what happens. If anyone tells you that you can not achieve your goals then they are wrong and you should thus go against them with all your might and strive toward whatever goal you have. Ask and it will be given to you; search, and you will find; knock and the door will be opened for you This was said by Jesus and is something I 100% believe in and should always be and a consideration when making an important decision. In my future I want to help archive their goals while also achieving my own, whether it is going skydiving or traveling the world I will achieve my goals no matter what stands in my way. When I do travel the world I will visit many different types of countries whether it is a 3rd world country or 1st world country I will treat everyone the same, fare and equal. In my travels to many of the western European countries I saw many wonder sites of the early culture that shaped America but now I want to see some of the Asian counties culture, I want to see the dojos, eat the food that we eat only for a special occasion, for every meal. I also want to go to Australia, even though it is Americanized its still a whole new world that I want to explore. To conclude these statements I would like to say again that you can do anything that you put your mind to even if it seems impossible, you can do it!!( you cant fly or something like that though). This I believe.

I believe that you should live life to the fullest. Living life to the fullest means putting effort into everything you do, making the choice to be happy, and living in the present and not the past. I believe in putting effort into everything that you. No matter how big or how small the thing I think that you should always give a 100%. You may not realize that just putting effort into something can make a difference even something so small or large. Doing this can make you succeed in things and help you accomplish things in life. Putting effort into things can also make you feel better about yourself because you feel that you are trying and it can make you happier. I also believe in being happy. Being happy is a choice and some people do not make that choice. I personally choose to be happy because it makes things easier in life. If you are happy, it can make others happy and you are just spreading it and that can help society. Sometimes it can be hard to do this since life is stressful at times and it can throw things at you that you are not expecting. However, you should always try to look forward and focus on the positive in life. Choosing to do this can bring happiness and it can make yourself feel better. Another thing I believe is to not live in the past. It is good to have memories from the past but you should not hold onto those memories wishing for them to come back. You should not waste your time focusing on what has happened when you should be focusing on what is happening in the present and looking forward to the future. Sometimes it is easier to look back and think about how easy things used to be and look at the times when you didn't have so much to worry about. But this is life and yes things do get harder but you should keep pushing further and living your life to the fullest. Living life to the fullest, I believe is one of the most important things. We have one life so we might as well live it to the fullest.

This I Believe

I believe that no matter how smart you are or even if you dont think your smart, if you put your mind to anything you can achieve it. Many people may say oh you cant do this or you cant do that, they say that because they have not tried and they did not have anyone there for them encouraging them to go for what they want.

Since I was a kid both my parents were very encouraging to try new things and go for I want and not for one of their dreams. From middle school till about last year I was very lost on what I wanted to do for a career and who I wanted to become. My mind was constantly changing from teacher to lawyer and so on. But just last year I realized that my favorite thing was to be around people in a chaotic situation and helping others. Thats when I figured out I wanted to a Register Nurse. When I had told them they were very happy and extremely encouraging they had me go with a good family friend to experience and see it thats what I really wanted. Although im not very good at science I know that its going to take work and my parents will be behind me one hundred percent.

Some people dont have that kind of family support, but just because you dont doesn't mean you shouldn't try. Your teachers are probably one of many that would be very helpful and are always there. I myself have gotten support from many of my teachers; theyre like a second parent to me. You should never give up on what you believe in or what you want to do no matter how difficult it is. Just put your heart to it and focus on the academics that is needed to accomplish it and anyone can achieve their goal.

I believe that love is the key to happiness and a good life. Iv'e learned that if you have a positive outlook on the situations that come to you, its easier to accomplish those things and succeed . Iv'e found that if everybody was good to each other and put differences aside and just accepted the people around you, even if they annoy you. Don't necessarily be ignorant to everything, but accept things that you cannot change and just respond with love. Iv'e learned that music also help you get through the rough times when you've got nobody to lean on, music will always be your friend and listen to what you're feeling.

I honestly think money is the root of all evil. Money creates enemies and destroys families. I see how we need to survive in this day and age, but with money, greed will always exist. Money make s people do messed up things to others. It takes homes away, and makes people go to extremes to barely make ends meet.

I also believe that knowledge will make a come back. I think that people will eventually be fed up with the ways that things are and how we put a heavy emphasis on stupidity and falseness. I think that people will, want to be smarter than they are, it might not come for a long time, but I really thin that it will happen.

Over all i think love will make things better. my world view is peace love and music. Accept these three things and your life will be happier.

This is what I believe: I am a chameleon. My personality and behavior always change depending on the environment I am around. The place and the people surrounding me alter my views, opinions, and character. The world has a variety of colors that taints me. Moving into a different country, from South Korea to America, has definitely changed me. Learning about the world in contemporary world affairs and comparative world religions classes have influence my worldview. Listening to the stories from the world and the opinions and thoughts of my classmates shape my view and thoughts. From a day to a day, every thing I see and hear taints me with different colors. As for many other people, I have a variety of aspects. I have many colors inside me. Sometimes I am crazy like a mad man, other times I am silent. I am reasonable, logical, and stupid at the same time. Sometimes I am cold as an ice but also caring and heartwarming. I am a chameleon in term of my interest as well. I have no specific goal or area of interest, and so all areas of study interest me for that every field has its attractive feature. I want to do this, I want learn that. I want to be a person with infinite colors and knowledge. Not having a fixed nature might be disadvantage for that I dont have my own color. Yet I have an advantage for being adaptable and flexible for any people, situations, and circumstances I confront. The world will keep changing, so will I. And this is just my journey around till I find who I truly am. I will keep changing my colors as I continue my journey of life as I face challenges and achieve successes, I am a chameleon.

What do I Believe?
I believe my name is Mark Chapman, and Im a filmer. I am an athlete. I love to film. I realized this going into freshmen year, but I chose to not follow my heart, and I did not pursue my dreams at the time. Instead, I took Language Arts 1 Honors, a class I didnt really enjoy too well. I never regret any decision I made in the past, I make sure of that because it is those choices, those moments that make up who you are as a person. I do think, however, if that cross road were to come up again in my life, I would choose the other path for the better. This cross road did come up next year as I was in wrestling. I loved wrestling; it was something great to look forward to every day. I thought I was good and with enough devotion I would be great. At the end of the year I saw the ad for hawk talk, and I thought why not try out. I got in, thankfully. The cross roads was wrestling with Filming. I loved them both so much. I believe though that there are enough people to be average in this world, and that I refuse to be one of them. This meant that I take away either wrestling or film, so I could devote myself to be the best that I can be. I quit wrestling. It was a sad, but right decision. Filming is what I plan to do in my life career, not wrestling, and I felt that this was for the best. And it was. It was these decisions that I made so far that help define my beliefs. Do what you love, regardless of what others say. Do not feel bad it is all done, just be appreciative that you were able to be apart of that moment. I think these are very generic beliefs, but for this situation, these are beliefs I do truly believe in based on life experience. Those are some of my beliefs.

I believe that I am a soldier. I struggle with my struggles everyday, 24/7, it never stops. Along the way, there will always be obstacles in my way that I have to overcome, and other people try to harm me with hurtful words as if they were weapons of destruction. It is the kind of war that happened inside me and everyone in my family was against me, even I was my own enemy. But that only happened when I was a young boy when my dad passed away, and it never stopped me from trying and never stopped me from progressing further in my life. I have always wanted to see the outcome of the entire situation I've been in, even if its going to be terrible. In my past life, I have been through a lot of hell that no one else knows about, and many of my family members try to silence the voice I want to give. Now that I am older, my voice will be heard and will no longer be kept inside. I visit a therapist to help me cope with my problems, help me let go of the past, and help me disregard those who intended to harm me. My family is all right to me, they don't have any problems with me and vice-versa. With the help from God, I believe I am going in the right direction that will help me be successful and help me give everyone a chance to know, trust, and respect. Right now, I am finding a significant companion that wants to listen to how I feel, and I expect her to do the same thing. I want to be with someone who can respect me for who I am, what I am, and why I am this way.

This I believe

I believe that humans, no matter who you are or what you believe in, are inherently equal. Although people are not treated the same under the law and through society, they all have the same worth. Black or white, gay or straight, male or female, educated or uneducated, whether you fall on one end of the spectrum or somewhere in between, everyone has the same worth.

Throughout history there have always been people who abuse their rights to try to take away the rights of other people. Recently we have heard about people using their right of religion to take away the rights of Arizonas LGBT community and turn them into second class citizens. Things like this arent right, but have been going on for centuries. A group of people being put down, by other people. In the U.S. (and most of the western world) any person that isnt a Caucasian cisgendered heterosexual male have faced this type of oppression in one face or another in history and in modern times. Some have faced this oppression more harshly than others, and should never be ignored or forgotten. People have paid with their lives just because they want to be treated fairly and equally.

I have a personal story. When I was in middle school I told my closest friend, a person I really believed I could trust that I was gay. She was the person who told everyone about it the next day and forced me out of the closet far before I was ready for people to know. That year was one of my toughest years I have faced. I lost a lot of friends and the support of numerous family members because they didnt approve of it. I constantly faced people threatening me and my well being and calling me extremely harsh names to try to put me down for who I was. Because people knew this one insignificant thing about me, they began treating me differently. I honestly wouldnt have been able to make it through that year if it wasnt for the friends who stuck by me the entire time. Throughout life I have learned that people are constantly not going to be okay with that, and I have learned not to care. It has definitely made me a stronger person.

No one should be separated out because of insignificant parts of their lives, because of things that they can not control. You can not control race, gender, or sexual orientation. If you are going to judge a person you should judge them on who they are as a person. A persons character should define a person, and not uncontrollable factors. My sexuality does not define me, I define me.

I believe i am a person with different qualities and. I believe in God also in ghosts. I believe that your relationship with your family is the most important thing. i Have always had a pssion for football and soccer. i have played both for many years and continue to play varsity soccer and football. They are my favorite things to do and i believe what you love doing becomes apart of you forever and always a good vibe towards what it is. I beleive everyone should find what they love dping and do what they love . It even makes you nicer to other people becaudse you are so happy about doing what you love it rubs off and people and is just amazing. I believe i am more on the silent side but only for a reason. Everyone talks..but more than half the time people are saying random things they wont care about in a few moments which is why i just focus on thre important thing... i also believe "In the warriors code ther4e is NO surrender." I believe that everyone should fight to the end and go ouut swinging because you only have on life and make it the best life you ever had. Be kind to one another and live.

Who am I? I believe I am a very intelligent child who needs to be a little more responsible. I need to work on better time management with school because school is what I am going to be doing for the next few years of my life and I really can't afford to treat college like I did high-school. I have the capability to do anything I want with my life as long as I put my heart and soul into it and stick to it. I am very confident in myself and I may be a little over confident, same goes for my ego. I think I may view myself more than I view others and that may need to change for the great future I have ahead of me. I am the type of person who will take pictures with others and not have to even look at them in the picture to know that they are beautiful, but I only look at myself in the pictures. I may be conceited at times and probably think too much about myself. This doesn't mean that I am not caring, I am always told that I care too much. When I find a friend, I treat all of them like my best friend and sometimes I feel like people don't want to be around me. Either i expect too much from people or I care too much about people when I'm around them. Either I do my own thing, or I get too involved with other people. I am very dedicated to what I want to do, but am not 100% sure what it is exactly that I want to do. I love my family and have a goal to make so much money that I can always pay for my family to meet up every now and then to have a huge family dinner. I want to make my family closer than how we are now. I feel like I can make a change in many things in the world and I have my heart set on making a change for the good of the people. I have been telling myself this my whole life now, and have recently figured out that I can't do this without making a lot of money, so now I have goals to reach before I can begin my first goal to make a change.I believe that thinking of making a lot of money made me think differently about others and myself. I am making myself seem more important than others, but not letting others know or treating others any differently, but by being less sociable and more self-centered. This is a personality about me that I don't like and have to change.
