Apple halts online sales in Russa

Apple has stated that they cannot sell online products in Russia due to the volatility of the Rouble  (Russian currency). One dollar buys 68 Roubles right now. Does Apple have the right to not sell their products in Russia for this reason?

I think apple does have the right to not sell in Russia because it's their products and they can do what they want with them.

Apple has good reason to not sell products in Russia. Economically, it would hurt Apple more to sell products in Russia. There is no guarantee they will receive the full payment for their products. Apple's actions to halt online sales is completely justifiable. Until Russia can secure a stable currency, which I assume is unstable from the information stated above, nonessential businesses selling luxury items shouldn't need/want to sell products in areas like this. It is important for essential businesses that provide food and supplies to the population to remain open and functional.

Apple is struggling with the sales because the drop in the economy is so great that they don't want to continue to lose this much money. If I was apple and I didn't want to lose an astounding amount of money I would close my website too. In no way should they be demanded by the government to do and sell a product without their own consent.

Apple can do whatever they want with their products so if they don't want to sell it in Russia they don't have to.

Apple has the right to not sell for this reason. They are doing what is best or their business.

Apple can sell wherever it wants; especially if it feels that the currency a country has is not stable. I agree with Dylan when he says that luxury products should not be sold until food, supplies, and the economy is more stable.

Yes, Apple has this right not to sell to Russia. If it is going to hurt them in the long run then why should they? Apple is a business and therefore they want to succeed. They also sell luxury items, as it is not an absolute necessity to survive with apple technology. Therefore, since they are not withholding something important like food or water, they can do whatever they want with their products.

Apple can do whatever it wants in terms of who the company wants to sell it too. Apple is a corporation driven by profit so it makes sense that it's concerned about the economies of nations.

I think Apple should be able to choose where they want to sell their products. Their decision to not sell the products in Russia is only to help their buisness.

Of course they have the right. They're a private company but it my not be the best business decision in the long run.
