Blue Thunder: Baghdad-area bombings kill 15, and wound nearly 90 others in Iraq

A string of bombings in and around Baghdad over 24 hours has killed 15 people and wounded 88 others.  The six attacks took place on Monday and Tuesday.  Details of the attacks are found in the link --> http://edition.cnn.com/2015/04/14/middleeast/iraq-violence/index.html

What do you think the united states can do to stop these bombings around the middle east?

The United States needs to continue in our attempts to reach a diplomatic solution. Fighting fire with fire, as we have been doing, has resulted in nothing but burned bridges and enraged civilians. However, the US needs to tread carefully and assure appeasement is not a trait of these diplomatic solutions, but serious promises of action if attacks occur and other governmental actions.

They can stop these bombings by getting better security and not retaliating back. If we were to get revenge, things would only get worse. A peacfull treaty to solve things might be better.

I agree with maddy and jade. Retaliating in a manner that isnt peaceful would only make matters worse .

I don't think the U.S. should do any military intervention but a more diplomatic solution

I feel like having more security is a way to help prevent these bombings.

The United States needs to come up with different strategies to help prevent these things from happening because obviously bomb attacks keep occurring. They need to think of a more secure and peaceful way to fight because like Madi said fighting fire with fire won't help.

I think non-military actions should be taken to make peace or some sort of compromise to stop further destruction and making the "fire" bigger.

I agree and think that retaliating would only make things worse. The US should try to make peace and have greater security.

although bombings are a big deal, i dont feel that the US should get involved with other countries problems unless we know exactly what to do and that the said country specifically asks for our help

Retaliating will almost always only make the situation worse. The US should just try to improve their security

I think that we should send more planes and continue with the airstrikes that we have been already doing.

The U.S. needs to rely on diplomacy to fix the solution and ease the citizens.
