The Cavannites: Panama City Rape: 'Spring Break as we know it is over'

After a video of an alleged gang rape went viral, authorities say it's not the first video of its kind they've seen. The Bay County Commission and the Panama City Beach Council passed an ordinance that prohibits the consumption of alcohol on sandy beaches between March 1 and April 18 due to all the chaos during Spring Break.

As long as the rule is enforced, I think that it will be somewhat impactful, but people will always try to get around rules like this one.

I don't think that prohibiting the consumption on a beach is going to prevent rape. Rapers don't need to be drunk to rape and their victims are not always drunk either. They need to have security or something on the beach to keep the girls and boys safe.

The rule needs to be enforced so people get what is going on.

Security on the beach can make an impact on this situation. However, the rule being enforced should calm it down a little

The rules should be enforced so that people will respect the authorities.
