The heart of Mexico City is the Federal District, or DF, an autonomous city within a city that is safer than New York and more liberal than San Francisco. For almost 20 years, the DF has been run by the Party of the Democratic Revolution, a small, nominally Left-wing party that has stood as the guarantor of the citys difference from the rest of Mexico
Do you think that they should try to branch this out to the rest of Mexico to make it safer?
I believe that in theory branching out would be exponentially beneficial to the overall good of Mexico. However, the reality of the situation is that the cartels are so deeply ingrained that I don't see how any change in government could occur any time soon-to much sorrow.
I think that they should at the very least try, even if it might not work. If there is a chance that they could make Mexico safer, I think they should try.
